WPN launches major brand ad campaign for PDSA

Brand action agency Watson Phillips Norman (WPN) is launching a new brand advertising campaign to raise awareness for leading veterinary charity, PDSA. The new TV ad breaks on 30 April on C4 and selected satellite stations and will run until June 2007.

The ad continues the charity's theme of, "Give Something Back to sick and injured pets that need your help". This year PDSA will provide over 1.8million free treatments to animals. The ad is targeted at people who have, or have had pets, and who understand the special relationship between a pet and its owner. The media has been planned and bought by Mike Colling and Co.

PDSA Director of Marketing and Income Generation, Jon Bodenham says:
"Once again WPN have created an emotive ad with clear stand out and a compelling call to action."

Gail Cookson, WPN Client Services Director, comments:
"Our objectives were clearly defined by PDSA. We need to drive brand awareness and salience in order to gain an enhanced desire to support. We saw a significant level of uplift in the first campaigns we conducted for the charity in 2005 and we plan to continue this increase throughout 2007."

The ad features the song "True Colours" sung by Eva Cassidy and is voiced over by Stephen Tompkinson. Responders to the ad will be directed to the phone and to a specially designed 'give something back' microsite www.pdsaappeal.org.uk*
