WPN continues to expand with WWAV's Sandra Money appointed as Head of TV

Leading direct marketing specialist Watson Phillips Norman (WPN) continues to expand its agency resource with the creation of a new in-house TV production unit and the appointment of Sandra Money as Head of TV.

Breaking DRTV campaigns for Which? and Picture Financial brings the number of commercials produced by WPN to well over 30, a remarkable number for an agency with only 3 years of operation. Previous high profile campaigns include ActionAid child sponsorship ads featuring Emma Thompson, first TV work PDSA, Concern and WaterAid, plus original campaigns for British Red Cross, Time Life and Sightsavers.

This appointment re-unites one of the most awarded DRTV teams, Sandra will be working closely with Maria Phillips Creative Partner and Tod Norman, Planning Partner. Their work includes campaigns for NSPCC and the highly acclaimed “Mirrors” for CRUK.

John Watson of Watson Phillips Norman comments:

"WPN is growing at a fierce rate and our DRTV offering is increasingly called upon by our clients -and in some cases to develop projects for clients with other agencies - looking for experienced team of DRTV specialists. Sandra is an outstanding talent, not only does she represent a tremendous wealth of experience and depth of expertise in this highly specialist area, but she also brings a tremendous amount of inspiration to everyone around her.

Our clients will continue to be satisfied with the knowledge that through WPN, they will be working with the best talent the industry has to offer and that those people will actually be hands on - that's where exceptionally talented people like Sandra come in. Her previous experience will enhance our team's value to clients and will play a critical role in taking our TV product to an even higher plateau where clients will continue to benefit from best “specialist” advice".

During the next six years, working mainly with Industrial Light and Magic, the special effects arm of Lucasfilm, she produced major TV campaigns for both the USA and clients from all over the world and filmed with many well known celebrities including Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Tom Selleck, James Wood, Linda Evans, Lloyd Bridges and the astronaut Alan Shepherd .

Eventually every traveller wants to come home so on returning to England in the mid-90s Sandra joined WWAV Rapp Collins in 1996 as Head of Television becoming a Board Director in 1998. There she teamed up with Creative Directors Maria Phillips, Bob Nash and Ian Hayworth.
