Diane Williams - Deputy Creative Director
I was a late starter in advertising, having first served a two year sentence as a French teacher in a boys' school. After two stints in marketing on the client side at Eagle Star Insurance and NSPCC I asked Maria Phillips if I could come to WWAV for a month's work experience as a copywriter. I stayed for the next eleven years. It was a fantastic time during which I worked on (and won awards for) some really big name clients. I also won the Graeme Robertson Trust award (given to one writer and one art director) for 1995.
In May 2003 I was delighted to be invited to join WPN. I've really enjoyed seeing the agency grow and doing the kind of things creatives don't get to do in bigger agencies... like answering phones... meeting the clients... working on the same floor as account management. As well as being Deputy Creative Director at WPN, I am also Head of Horticulture, Chief Librarian and a fierce campaigner for having an agency dog.
